| I don't update, ever! First of all, Kim and I are married! She is a great wife. She is also very pretty and sweet! I just can't say enough about her. The wedding went great and everyone seemed to have a good time. Thank you to everyone that helped make our wedding day great! The weekend flew by and I can't believe that it is over already. Maine was beautiful. I wasn't hot and we staying at an awesome resort. Kim and I are headed to Maryland today for some fun with the family and a wedding. I guess that is all for now!

| I taught Miss Maxine how to "crank that Soulja Boy" this morning at work. That's what all of my hard work in grad school was for, my friends. Kim and I are tying the knot two months from today. Two months! Things are pretty much finished in terms of planning. We met with the DJ this weekend, and we have finalized things with the cake lady. Boom and pow. I'm excited about this. Kim is the most wonderful young woman in the world, and I am glad I get to spend forever with her. I need to get better at updating. I have a lot going on in my life; I should have more to say. Oh yeah! I may very well be doing some voice-over work for a local radio station. Mel Blanc ain't got nothin' on me! | | |
| Plane tickets are booked. Whoooopeeee! Most of this wedding stuff is finished. I have to find some shirts for my guys, and that is it. Rings? Purchased. Song list? Completed. Bachelor party? Up to Donnie and Derek. Work is going well. The semester is over, so most of the students are about to split. It should be a pretty chill summer, aside from the whole wedding thing. It's gonna be fun. I'm excited to have all of my friends around for a few days. I am in Tennessee for the next few days, visiting friends and family. If any of you are bored next week, you should come to Charlottesville and see some good improv - The Bent Theatre is putting on a sweet version of The Wizard of Oz. I am Toto. Come watch! | | |
| Is this better, Miss Dymacek? Improv show #2...done and done! I love this stuff. It's addicting. Admittedly, I have an addictive personality. I get hooked on things pretty quickly. While some things smolder out fairly quickly, I am all about this. This Friday, our group is doing an improv version of Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone. Same characters and plot outline, but the scenes are done by improv games. It's gonna rock. If you happen to be in C-ville this Friday at 8, you should come by and see it. Work is going well. Last week beat the flibblety out of me; I'm glad that things are starting to quiet down for me. I want Kim up here soon; I miss her like crazy. I love using semicolons; is it obvious? As many applications as Kim has submitted, I think she will land something soon. Fingers crossed! Good music suggestions for the week/month - Kris Delmhorst & The Weepies. Check these two acts out! Kris Delmhorst is also part of the duo Redbird (with her husband Jeffrey Foucault), and The Weepies is a group made of another husband and wife duo - Deb Talan and Steve Tannen. Good folk stuff from both acts. Do it! | | |
| Last night was my first improv show. The Bent Theatre did a show at Rapunzel's in Lovingston (cute but very rural), and I was thrown right into the mix. I got to be a principal player in one game, and I got to be in several other games as well. I was a bit nervous, but I think I did well. Being on stage makes it hard to gauge the audience's true reaction. The crowd was small (and very quiet - room full of goth & emo teens), but I got some laughs. Holler. Our trip there and back was interesting, too; the other driver's car broke down about 10 miles from Rapunzel's. We had seven (7) people in the Camry: two up front, four in the back, and one in the trunk. Thank God I was the driver, but I was sweatin' out finishing the trip. I had visions of getting pulled over and telling the officer, "By the way, there is a short black man with a Yankees cap in my trunk; I promise he went in there under his own volition." We got in late last night, after two of the guys and I waited with Ruth by her car, waiting for the tow truck. After making the drive from TN yesterday, I was ready to get some shut-eye. Mia was glad to see me. I know this because she was all claws when I got home. Wedding planning is going well. We're changing our venue to a church instead of the Carnegie. We're still doing the reception there, but we would have had to provide our own sound and piano. Also, it won't be as crowded at Grandview or First Christian. The reception space will be just fine (I think), but 200 people might get a little too familiar sitting in rows like that. I'm excited. Less than 150 days til we get hitched! | | |
